All options come with the daily breakfast meat (bacon, ham, sausage, etc.).

Bicycle Storage from May through October (covered and safe storage area). Be sure to bring along your bicycle lock.
When we close the inn each night we forward calls to a message center – if guests misplace their keys and are locked out of the inn, answering service personnel contact the nightly on-call staff member. We are always ready and available to help!
*Guest bathrooms are stocked with environmentally friendly products. BeeKind bath soap, conditioning shampoo and lotion are provided as a bathroom amenity. As a Green Hotel, we prefer these Gilchrist & Soames products because the paper bottle offers (quoted from the Gilchrist & Soame’s web site) “59% reduction in packaging material by weight and a 92% reduction in waste space compared to rigid plastic bottles.” The product contains honey and certified organic extracts of chamomile, calendula, red clover, and lemongrass. We applaud the fact that a portion of this product’s net profits supports honey bee and sustainable pollination research.
LANG HOUSE INN POLICIES
To ensure all of our guests have memorable experiences we ask that you take a moment to review the Inn’s policies listed below.
Room Rates: Room rates are based on single or double occupancy. Rates include a full breakfast each morning, onsite parking (one spot per guest room), Wi-Fi, and afternoon cookies. For rooms that can accommodate a third person (not applicable for children under 5 years old), there is an additional fee of $30 plus tax per night.
Room rates vary throughout the year. Please use the online booking engine to check availability and pricing for your dates of interest.
During the summer months through the foliage season (June through October), we have a 2-night minimum stay requirement except when there is a single night open in between existing bookings. Most holiday periods have a 3-night minimum stay requirement.
Deposit: When a new reservation is made, an advance deposit via credit card is taken equal to one night’s charges (i.e., the quoted room rate plus 11% rooms and meals taxes). The advance deposit is applied to the room charges. For example: If a guest stays three nights, an advance deposit equal to one night’s charges will be transacted. Upon check out, the guest will pay for the remaining two nights’ charges as well as any other expenses incurred while staying at the inn.
If you would like to make a reservation with a gift certificate, we recommend booking by phone so the advance deposit is adjusted to reflect gift certificate balance. When booking online, include the Gift Certificate number and value in the special accommodations field. Note: an advance deposit via credit card will be taken regardless of your gift certificate balance.
Cancellation Policy: As indicated above, a deposit of one night’s lodging plus taxes is required to guarantee your reservation. A deposit is refundable (minus a 10% cancellation fee) if a reservation is cancelled 14 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
Cancellations made 13 days or less before the arrival date will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
If a guest fails to show, shows up after the scheduled check-in date, shortens a reserved stay within the 13-day cancellation period, or after arriving at the Lang House, the guest may lose the deposit as well as be responsible for any room nights that we are unable to replace.
There will be no refunds for COVID or weather-related cancellations within the 13-day cancellation period. We recommend looking into travelers’ insurance if you are apprehensive about either scenario. We recommend InsureMyTrip.
Please check with us if you are unclear about our deposit and cancellation terms.
Minimum Stays: A two-night-minimum reservation is required from June 1 through October 31 as well as for National holiday weekends and special-event weekends. Some special-event and holiday weekends may require a three-night minimum stay.
Inn Staffed Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Check-In Time: 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Accessibility: We do not have an elevator. Our staff members are always willing to help guests during business hours with their luggage at check-in and check-out.
Late Arrivals: We have a self-check-in procedure for guests arriving after the inn closes at 8:00 p.m.
Parking & entering the Lang House: One space per guest bedroom is provided free of charge. There is a horse-shoe shaped driveway around the back of the inn that leads to our parking lot. We ask that guests pull into spots as far as possible. There is a back entrance to the inn off of the parking lot (there is a short set of stairs and ramp leading to that entrance). Our parking lot cannot accommodate large RV’s.
Check-Out Time: 11:30 a.m. We ask guests to come to the front desk to settle their bills and drop off their keys.
Housekeeping: Guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned before guests check-in. Currently, we are offering daily housekeeping during your stay. We can also provide fresh towels or toiletries/bathroom supplies should you need them.
Breakfast: We have six dining tables and accommodate guests comfortably and safely via three breakfast service times: 7:45, 8:30, and 9:15 a.m. The breakfast menu and sign-up sheet are displayed each afternoon in the front foyer.
Coffee is available outside of the kitchen starting at 7:00 a.m.
Breakfast is included for up to two guests. There is an $18 + tax per extra guest that is not staying at the inn. Please talk to front desk staffer if you want to invite more than 2 extra guests.
Dietary Restrictions: If you have significant dietary restrictions (e.g., food allergies, gluten sensitivity, vegan preferences), please let us know in advance of your arrival date so that we can accommodate your needs. Our breakfast meats are always offered as an option, so vegetarians are accommodated daily.
Add-Ons: We will do our best to accommodate special requests in advance of your arrival. For an additional charge, we provide in-house extras such as wine/beer/hard cider, flowers, chocolates, and breakfast in bed.
Beer and Wine: The Lang House has a beer and wine liquor license. By law, guests are not permitted to bring to the inn their own beer and wine. We carry white, red, and sparkling wines as well as local Vermont beers and ciders.
Non-Smoking Inn: The Lang House is a smoke-free inn. Guests who smoke in their rooms or in any other interior space on the property will be assessed a clean-up charge (minimum fee of $200). Absolutely no candles or incense.
Children: Our philosophy is that we want our guests to feel as though our house is an extension of their home. We happily accommodate children. Well-behaved children are appreciated by both our guests and staff members! We have two pack-n-play cribs available that can be set up in most guestrooms.
Pet Policy: Guests’ pets are not permitted at the inn. Guests who ignore this policy will be asked to leave.
If you have a severe allergy to dogs, please let us know. There is a small resident dog who frequents the communal areas.
Guest Responsibility: While accidents do happen, guests will be financially responsible for damages due to negligence.
Bicycle Storage: During the summer and fall you can lock your bike up near our shed at the back of the property. Bring your own locks. Bicycles are not allowed to be stored in guest bedrooms or in communal areas of the inn.
COVID-19 Related: The Burlington City Council rescinded the requirement that everyone wear masks in public spaces. Some establishments may continue to require masks be worn as well as proof of vaccination.
