We do our best to anticipate our guests’ needs and comfort and have the standards of a top notch Burlington, Vermont hotel.
Wi-Fi is offered to our guests at no charge (there is a router in the main house and one in the Carriage House). For guests who do not travel with their laptops or tablets, we have a dedicated guest computer and printer.
All guest bedrooms have flat-screen HD TVs and cable (including HBO channels) and music channels. Guest bedroom TV sizes vary – smaller guest bedrooms have smaller televisions. Everything is in proportion at the Lang House.
From late spring to fall, window AC units are installed in each guest bedroom. During the colder months guests can regulate a room’s temperature because every guest bedroom has a dedicated thermostat.
Each guestroom in our Burlington, VT bed and breakfast has wine glasses, water glasses, an ice bucket and a corkscrew / bottle opener. There is an ice machine in the inn kitchen.
As a designated Green Burlington, Vermont Hotel, we no longer offer bottled water in guest bedrooms. Instead each guest bedroom has a water carafe, and there are dispensers with spring water located in close proximity to guest bedrooms and in the beverage area in the inn.
Even though guests travel with their own mobile telephones, we provide telephones in guest bedrooms. Local calls are free, and guests are able to contact Front Desk or kitchen staff members from their rooms.
Guest bathrooms are stocked with environmentally friendly products. BeeKind bath soap, conditioning shampoo and lotion are provided as a bathroom amenity. As a Green Hotel, we prefer this Gilchrist & Soames product because the paper bottle offers (quoted from the Gilchrist & Soames web site) “59% reduction in packaging material by weight and a 92% reduction in waste space compared to rigid plastic bottles.” The product contains honey and certified organic extracts of chamomile, calendula, red clover, and lemongrass. We applaud the fact that a portion of this product’s net profits supports honey bee and sustainable pollination research.
We own and launder guest bathroom towels – marvelously fluffy Turkish towels. We provide special make-up removal washcloths. All guest bathrooms have hair dryers.
Guests love our Lang House on Main Street robes!
We do not use any bedding products with down or feathers. While we rent our sheets from a linen company, we launder and iron our own pillowcases.
Recognizing that too much stuff in a guest bedroom can be really annoying, we don’t put ironing boards and irons in rooms. If you need one, just ask. We also keep on hand items that guests sometimes forget to pack – toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, ear plugs, etc.
We have a guest refrigerator in the lobby of the main house for guest purchases that need to stay cold.
On-site parking (one space per guest bedroom) is provided for guests, free of charge.
We host a number of bicycle tour companies between May and October. Individual guests frequently travel with bicycles. From May through October a large bicycle tent is erected at the back of the Lang House property for covered and safe storage of bicycles. Be sure to bring along your bicycle lock.
When we close the inn each night we forward calls to a message center – if guests misplace their keys and are locked out of the inn, answering service personnel contact the nightly on-call staff member. We are always ready and available to help!
We welcome guest recommendations and feedback in regard to our services and amenities.
